Crash sensor is an app that protects you while you are driving or riding a bike.
It constantly monitorize your phone´s accelerometer in order to detect the sudden deceleration that happens in a traffic collision. In case of accident an alarm will sound to
let you know a collision has been detected. After 30 seconds, if the alarm is not cancelled, a SMS with your geographic coordinates will be sent to the emergency contact of your choice.
To know the exact place where the accident has happened the receiver of the SMS can copy the coordinates from the message text and paste it in any of the most common maps sites.
Crash Sensor may be a very useful tool in accidents where the vehicle runs off the road and stays hidden inside a ditch or behind the trees, away from the help of other drivers.
Also it can save the life of cyclist fallen down in paths with little transit, where nobody can help them.
From 31 March 2018 all brand new cars sold in European Union must comply with european rules and include automatic call in case of accident eCall system. Crash Sensor allows you to have a very similar
system to eCall in all the cars and bicycles, adding a security factor to all your travels. Don´t wait till having an eCall vehicle.
The app uses 3 permissions:
-Contacts, so you can choose your desired emergency contact
-Location, for obtaining your position
-SMS, for sending an emergency SMS. Your carrier may charge you for every SMS with the usual cost in your phone plan.
